1cttw Round and Baguette Diamond Woven Crossover Band in 14k White Gold

A wide white gold band whose whole top is built from rows of diamonds, one carat total weight, alternating between rows of nick set round diamonds and channels of baguettes. The rows run in two groups that cross over one another in an X across the top of the finger, so that the pattern reads as woven rather than striped. The profile is low and gently domed and the shank is wide, polished and tapered. 9.70 grams of 14k white gold.

A carat spread across this many small stones is not trying to compete with one big stone, and it should not be judged that way. What it buys instead is coverage: from arm’s length the top of the finger reads as a single silver-white texture with a diagonal running through it, and that is the whole effect.
