6mm Byzantine Link Band Ring in 18k White Gold

A 6mm band made entirely of Byzantine links — polished loops woven through one another and alternating with bead-textured loops — running all the way round the finger, with a small stamped plate inside the band carrying the marks. No stones. 2.70 grams of 18k white gold.

Byzantine is the oldest of the woven chain patterns, and worked into a band it does what a chain does: it moves with the finger instead of sitting on it, and every loop throws its own point of light. In white gold the weave reads almost like lace, and at 6mm it wears as easily on a man’s hand as a woman’s. The kind of ring you buy somewhere you were happy and never take off — when did you last own one of those?
