Men's Tapered 10k Yellow Gold Band with 1/2cttw of White and Cocoa Diamonds and a Three Stone Panel

Three round white diamonds sit at the centre of this band in a long six sided panel, held with small gold beads between them. Either side of that panel a channel of round cocoa diamonds runs out toward the shoulders, set down in a recess that reads dark behind them. Between the centre and each channel the gold rises into a V, so the face is divided into three sections rather than running straight across. The band tapers back from there and is polished bright. Half a carat total weight across both colours of diamond, in 5.50 grams of 10k yellow gold.

The shape of that centre panel is doing more than it looks like. It is stretched out along the band rather than sitting square, so three stones read as a long bright line instead of three separate points — the ring looks like it has more going on across the finger than the stone count would suggest. The V dividers are the other half of it: without them you would have a panel and two channels sitting near each other, and with them the eye runs from one end of the face to the other and reads the whole thing as one design. The cocoa stones then step the brightness down as they go outward, which is why your eye lands in the middle and stays there. None of that is accidental. Where does yours land?
