Square & Compass Masonic Pendant with Letter G in 10k Yellow Gold
Product Code: 20056624996
ABOUT THIS ITEM
The square and compasses open around a raised letter G, cut clean through so the emblem reads as line and negative space instead of a solid plate of metal. A scrolled engraved pattern runs up the compass legs to a rosette pivot beneath the bail, and both arms of the square are notched with fine diamond-cut ticks that throw white flashes against the polished 10k yellow gold. Because the design is open, light passes through it and the symbol stays legible against a shirt or a jacket rather than flattening into a gold blob. It's a restrained, wearable scale at 1.60 grams, cast as a single openwork form with the bail integrated into the top of the compasses — no solder seams, nothing to work loose.
The square and compasses is the most recognized emblem in Freemasonry — the square for morality, the compasses for restraint, the G read as geometry or as God depending on which brother you ask. On a chain it does what a Masonic ring does but quieter, which means you can wear it on days when your hands are in gloves or your rings are in a locker and still have it on you. Any brother who sees it knows exactly what it is without a word from you. Isn't recognition better than explanation?
